Title: Sales/Customer Service Rep
Report To: Sales Manager
Salary: DOE
Job Summary:
Manage relationships and sales with customers, everything from day-to-day information requests to program planning and product presentations. Ensure constant sales growth and seek new potential customers. Provide excellent customer service and support. Professionally attend and assist at trade shows. Responsibilities may also include clerical and data entry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Increase sales with new and existing customers
• Handle all aspects of customer inquiries and calls
• Be responsible for realization of personal sales plan
• Travel to trade shows and visit customers (required)
• Conduct facility tours
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple projects, yet be a team player
• Understanding of the grower side of the horticultural industry
• Ability to identify grower needs and opportunities
• Knowledge of perennials and annuals, plant uses and hardiness zones
• Excellent people, verbal, math and writing skills
• Problem-solving skills
Credentials and Experience:
• Horticultural industry sales experience required
• Minimum two years of industry sales experience
Special Requirements:
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
