Hellebores and their Winter Companions
Hellebores and their winter companions can help bridge the gap between fall and spring gardening seasons. We have so many varieties to choose from, you can have blooming Hellebores from November through April!
We are the largest US grower of Heuger Gold Collection® Hellebores, and we are proud of this partnership. Years of excellence in breeding brings Hellebores that are first year blooming, extremely hardy, drought tolerant, and deer resistant, with a long bloom time. The perfect perennial!
We offer a number of Orientalis varieties as well. Spectacular color variations in both single and double flower forms, these beauties are hard to resist. Orientalis types don’t always bloom the first year, but they are certainly worth the wait!
We have a beautiful assortment of hanging baskets planned for the 2020 season! From classic Fuchsia and Begonia varieties to bold, exciting combinations, we have your program covered. Take a look at our new brochure and pre-book your favorites today. Please contact your sales rep for program order submission forms.
2020 Edibles Program
It’s never too early to start planning your spring edibles assortment. Choose from either World + Kitchen conventionally grown edibles, or our organically grown Yard 2 Table selections.
At Skagit Gardens, we differ from other conventional edible growers because we use only OMRI-listed fungicides and insecticides for ALL edible production. The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is an international nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. We are proud to use these safe, effective grower aides in both our conventionally grown and organically grown programs, so you can feel good about the food you grow!
Early Spring Color!
Pre-booking your Early Spring Color program is the best way to ensure you get all of your favorite varieties. Our 2020 program is another outstanding lineup, featuring fragrant Erysimum, cheerful Pansies and Violas, perky Primroses, and of course, beautiful bulbs. Many other spring favorites, too! Browse our brochure, then give your Skagit Gardens sales rep a call to place your pre-order!
Pollinator Friendly Plants
With so much interest in creating garden habitats to attract and support our pollinator friends, we put together a new publication to make planning your assortment super easy. Learn which plants are valued for food, nesting/cover, and hosts for butterfly larvae.
Proven Winners® plants are a favorite of both new and experienced gardeners because a better garden starts with a better plant. They are top performers—healthy, disease resistant, and easy to grow, producing long-lasting color with wow! power.
The plants that make the final cut are chosen following a rigorous 2–3 year selection process based on their all-season color and bountiful blooms, resistance to disease and insects, and tolerance for heat and humidity. Click here to learn more.
