Tall, showy spikes of bright rose-red, tubular flowers rise above mounded dark green deciduous foliage. Low-maintenance color in borders, rockeries, and open woodlands.

Prefers dryish, well-drained soil. Remove spent flower spikes and but back to basal foliage after flowering. Fertilizing not required.
